The simple letter opener named 'Ameland' is a double-edged paper knife in satin finish stainless steel and is the result of an astute simplification of the manufacturing process.
It is believed that Enzo Mari chose the name "Ameland" due to the resemblance to the ground view of the Dutch North Sea island.
