Waste Yarn Project

BOO Crochet Bag

BOO is a small handbag designed to be carried in your hand or worn around your wrist, and features a tight crochet at the bottom to prevent your smaller items from falling out. Waste Yarn Project takes surplus yarn from the fashion industry and puts it into their uniquely designed knit system to produce one off, handmade pieces that embrace randomness with infinite possibilities.

All bags are unique and the colour way of the bag you receive will be a variant of these yarns or similar.

The quality of Waste Yarn Project is undeniable. I ran over to give their jumpers a squeeze after spotting them hanging in the showroom, and we added them into our offering that day, totally spontaneously. Which is funny, as that spontaneity mirrors their colour selection process.

Emete, Buyer & Co-Founder

Waste Yarn Project is an initiative that repurposes surplus yarn to create one-of-kind knitwear. These unique knits embrace serendipity, while addressing the impact of the knitwear industry on the environment. Each knit is handmade by artisans and takes approximately 12 hours to make, from start to finish.
