A homage to Max Bill.
The Bauhaus trained Swiss architect / artist designed the Ulm Stool in 1954.
Designed for the Ulm Hochschule für Gestaltung, in Ulm, Germany.
Conceived as an exercise for students to learn through making.
Since manufactured in different materials and finishes in Italy by Zanotta.
Now rationalised for a different production, in London, in an edition of 30.
Re-imagined in new and recycled birch ply-wood and aluminium.
Added colour & graphics applied via five different process’.
It’s like a bit of Bauhaus, but with Bills on.
The stools are currently on show part of London Design Festival's Kings Cross design district.
